Children affected by dyslexia often face poor school results in schools in Bulgaria and Turkey due to the lack of support provided, something which is a total violation with Article 24 of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) which unambiguously provides not only that children with disabilities should not be discriminated against but also that they should be able to participate in the general education system.
